A lot has been going on this year all over the globe. As draining as existence can be, a whole lot of change and transition occurred for the incomparable Trina Dasgupta who is the benefactor of the art below, which I hope gives you even a fraction of the joy it does me. I am amazed Trina has delivered so much stunning work this year in the face of life-hurdles that would leave me crying and defeated in an empty bath tub… Trina pulled it all off and also managed to attend THREE Indian Weddings whilst gracing us with more Gumball Man. Bless your soul, Trina.
Without any further adieu, when we last saw Todd we discovered his booty had a particular >boing< to it. Also, he has a very specific reaction to being affronted with movie spoilers.

Well, shit. And this is still just our opening scene. I can not wait to share what Trina is scheming away at for our impending “splash” page.

Todd smashes up that “Single-use” shop pretty well in this latest page. If you want to join our effort in smashing single-use plastic, perhaps we can soon provide you a sticker to motivate more use of your favorite thermos to combat the single-use plastic catastrophe we have manufactured ourselves into.
We will have some pretty incredible “gumball” stickers at L.A. Comic Con as well as pins and prints which I look forward to showing off here soon. We will be teasing it all on our budding/badly-in-need-of-more-follows @gumballmancomic Instagram page.
We will also be offering a very limited printing of what we are calling the 2023 Flavor Pack, a compilation of our comic efforts this year in a stunning 28 page collection:
That collage by Trina is a sweet candy-shell coating a cool collection of comics. The goodies include Trina and my own potentially embarrassing “graphic auto-biographies”, as well as Gumball Man — but not every page— we only provide the latest here for our OG supporters on Substack.
The 2023 Flavor Pack also includes the debut of two fully-new projects I am collaborating on:
!!Oh the Humanity!! is an environmentally themed sci-fi adventure which I have the endlessly exhilarating privilege of co-creating with an incredible artist named Aditya Dasgupta who moonlights on Instagram as @Andacid — Follow him to discover not only his amazing art (which will be available in print form at L.A. Comic Con), but also his bloodline connection to Gumball Man…. further confounding my already overflowing gratitude at getting to collaborate with such wonderful and wonderfully talented human beings. If you look closely at the collage you will get the first peek at a character from !!Oh the Humanity!! who is not a human being at all? The opening pages of !!Oh the Humanity!! will only be available in printed form at Los Angeles Comic Con.
And speaking of wonderful human beings, joining our table at L.A. Comic Con is the ever influential super-artist Beverly Salas, who is debuting her first comic. I have the great fortune to collaborate with Beverly for this momentous occasion. The project is titled Narc(m)an®️ and sorry, no teases at this time, but you can learn all about it soon, or when Bev unveils her incredible rendering of my bizarre idea via @BeverlySalas, or of course if you score a copy of the 2023 Flavor Pack in which Narc(m)an®️ will be the peculiarly chewy center.

Not sure how I landed the Black Friday approach here, but I usually feel confused and overwhelmed after engaging with those offers, so perhaps this is all on brand? Trina claims I am too flattering to her in this post and not myself, but what greater flattery is there than her art on my weird words?
I have a lot to be grateful for at this year’s Thanksgiving and no small part of that is getting to work with Trina (aka @Trinscope) and to you for reading.
