Human Tyler here, anyone else working on a comic that has hit unexpected summer delays in this topsy-turvy world? In our situation, the delays are the result of some really incredible news for artist extraordinaire Trina Dasgupta aka @Trinscope. I am looking forward to sharing more on her amazing new opportunity once she finishes settling into a new locale within the ever-expanding Magical Realm of Trina. We actually have quite a few exciting updates I look forward to sharing here soon.
My desperate decision last post to hand over blogging responsibilities to our increasingly sentient and now somehow emotionally needy AI Lawyer Steward.t didn’t go as hoped. I apologize for selling-out our human connection with the goal of earning favor as an early supporter of AI. But only in the event AI wins whatever race we are in. I want to be on the right side of the barricade… just to be in the best position to deliver you more ‘Gumball Man’. I actually tried to remove that last post several times but ironically my computer keeps getting infected with Stuxnet every time I click delete…. actually, hmm. You know what I just realized? This might actually be a situation I can get Steward.t’s help on. I’ll connect Stew to the infected computer and let you know how it goes.
My focus on AI has been put in perspective by ‘Mission Impossible: Part VII: Part I’ which asks an important question: What poses a bigger threat to humanity? AI or oblivious toxic masculinity? If you are missing your fix of an oblivious, toxic, male presence — fret not, ‘Gumball Man’ will return soon — way before MI:7:2.
We are not leaving you without a comic this week. I have reached into the archives of my personal lampooning to unearth the ongoing comic ‘Cherry Bomb Blows’ by Mark Skeele Wilson. The goal in sharing this very special “birthday card” Mark made me is two-fold. First, you finally get to know me better as literally everyone who has read this in my presence gleefully exclaims “THAT IS HOW I FEEL TALKING TO YOU”. Second, so begins the public pressure on Mark to make more Cherry:
